What is Virselle?

Virselle is a virtual sales gallery that fully replicates the in-person sales gallery experience for audiences in the metaverse. Our vision is that by removing geographical barriers of a physical sales gallery, new developments will become more accessible to remote buyers, connecting our global community and positively impacting development in emerging cities.

Virselle offers on-demand global reach to a wide variety of visitors via a standard web browser. As a cross-platform, responsive web app designed to showcase video, imagery, 3D models, brand content and data, Virselle closely replicates the physical sales gallery experience by placing visitors and their chosen avatars in an architecturally familiar space.

Sales and marketing teams can utilize the space to host virtual events and open-houses in any timezone or language. The host team can interact with VIP guests, media correspondents and visitors in real time, generating organic and shareable content.

Because the product is hosted using a standard web browser, it can be accessible 24/7 when linked to a property website or listing. Real estate agents can utilize remotely hosted sessions to take potential buyers on guided tours that mirror an in-person visitor experience. Virselle allows users to compare product options, talk to sales representatives and tailor their visit to their own unique set of wants and needs.

The platform provides the sales and marketing team with robust analytic captured from visitor sentiment, comments, and behaviors. Virselle can be integrated with existing CRM systems such as salesforce or hubspot to centrally track conversions and ROI.

What is the story behind Virselle?

With changes in work culture and global travel limitations, property groups found that potential customers were less willing to visit their site-specific galleries, but they still wanted to engage with buyers in a meaningful way - beyond the capabilities of a static website, a video call or standalone app.

The opportunity emerged for a virtual counterpart to a physical sales gallery, with new technology making it more achievable than ever.

The metaverse has been an under-delivered promise of the next iteration of the internet. Virselle provides value and ROI for brands,  motivating them to embrace new and globally accessible virtual spaces.

Who were we designing for?

Virselle as a product is designed for property groups but the experience and interactions are designed for customers. While it is a commercial reality that our clients need to deliver quality information and brand messaging to their guests, the space itself offers a visitor-centric UX. 

Created to house a variety of media types we allow the property group to share their interactive content in a serene and comfortable environment.

Visitors are those who cannot or prefer not to visit a physical sales gallery space. We focused our target to be inclusive of remote and international customers, stay at home workers, new parents and those with physical or neurodivergent differences.

We have created an experience that welcomes them, presenting information in a clear and logical manner and allowing them to explore at their own pace, in their own home, in their own language and preferred mode of communication.

What impact will it have in the property sector?

The modern brand experience has moved out of the built environment and into the digital and social media space, and Virselle is at the forefront of how the next generation of individuals interact with brands in a virtual environment.

By democratizing access to what was previously a site-specific experience an enhanced level of equality in retail and sales gallery experience emerged - no racial profiling, no discrimination based on appearances, no structural discrimination due to placement and accessibility of physical spaces.

Buying a home, an investment property or securing commercial space is a major financial milestone for most customers. We want to minimize previously accepted geographical barriers and open up the marketplace to new modes of engagement.

What was the design process like?

Discussion
We worked with industry partners to explore the primary objectives of the customer journey and identify a ‘digital twin’ for each.

Discovery
We researched partners, collaborators and competitors, and engaged Curiious to provide a market-ready tech stack.

Define
We refined the opportunity to an efficient feature set, ensuring both the property vendors and the intended audience’s needs were met.

Design
We took our experience from designing physical galleries, experiences, and interactions and navigated the world of Virtual Architecture, finding some common limitations were quickly  lifted while other technical challenges needed R&D to overcome. 

Deliver
The result is a strong, viable commercial use of a metaverse experience for brands that we hope will inspire other industries to reconsider or augment their costly physical spaces, trade stalls, visitor centers and retail experiences.
